Show notes – 07/28/12: Summer Drinks

shrub drinking vinegar

This week we’re talking about ice cold drinks to help us survive this crazy hot summer. Here are some of our picks:

Shrub – drinking vinegar, served at Till and available to purchase at Weiland’s. If you want to try making it at home here’s a recipe from our friend Rachel Tayse.

Agua frescas – available at most Columbus taco trucks. Guava agua fresca is found at Tres Reyes. Other flavors include: tamarind, jamaica (hibiscus), pineapple and the most common horchata (rice and cinnamon).

Paletas (Mexican popsicles), are not a drink, but we love them. They are available at most Mexican markets including the La Michoacana stores & Plaza Tapatia.

Estilo Brazil - passionfruit juice and smoothies (Cleveland Ave)

Bionicos El Grullo – Mexican juice and smoothie bar (Cleveland Ave)

Ace of Cups lemonade

Chef o nette milkshakes
